The Healing Art of DIY
In 2022 while pregnant with my 3rd child, I picked up a power tool for the first time and took nesting to a whole new level marking the beginning of my DIY journey.
Little did I know that this new found passion for DIY would prove to be all part of God’s perfect timing. DIY became the creative outlet and therapy I needed during an ugly battle with postpartum depression.
I feel so blessed to have found this creative side of myself and would love to have you follow the journey. From home renovation to furniture builds, family life, and navigating ADHD; I am here to share it all. Whether you are looking for a mom friend, some DIY inspiration, or simply need a good laugh, I’m your girl through the highs and lows and in between. Lets be friends! Marriage
I met my husband Festus in 2014 on Match.com. Yep you heard that right we are one of those cheesy match.com success stories. I was finishing up grad school at the time and he was on a travel nursing assignment in South Florida. We have a very interesting love story. Getting from Match to marriage was quite the journey of faith. I will share more about that in an upcoming blog post. While Festus loves being a nurse, he has always been a true creative at heart. He’s living his dream working as a professional model and talented photographer while still serving his community as a nurse.
Family
We currently live in South Florida with our 3 children ages 1 to 16. Yes we are parenting across all developmental stages at this time. We have 2 rescue dogs Gracie our American Bulldog mix and Comet our crazy Golden Retriever.
